Belinda Bencic, the former World No. 4, is set to make her professional tennis comeback this month after taking time off to welcome her first child. Fans are eager to see how her game has evolved during her time away and how she’ll re-enter the competitive scene.

Belinda Bencic has been absent from the WTA Tour since the 2023 San Diego Open, where she announced her pregnancy shortly after the event. She welcomed her daughter, Bella, in April 2024 and has been intensifying her training in preparation for her return to professional tennis. Fans are looking forward to seeing her back in action.

Belinda Bencic, 27, is scheduled to compete at the ITF W75 event in Hamburg on October 28. This tournament will serve as a fitness gauge ahead of Switzerland’s Billie Jean King Cup tie against Serbia in November. Expressing her excitement, Bencic said, “I’m extremely excited to compete in Hamburg and very grateful for the wild card. The timing of my comeback fits very well, and I’m happy to test my level at the Hamburg tournament beforehand.”

Belinda Bencic boasts eight WTA singles titles, including an Olympic gold medal in singles and a silver in doubles from the Tokyo 2020 Games. She reached the semifinals at the 2019 US Open and played a pivotal role in leading Switzerland to its first Billie Jean King Cup title in 2021. Her impressive achievements highlight her status as one of the top players in women’s tennis.
